Software Engineer Custom Web Applications (f/m/d) in Copenhagen

We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and help build custom web applications for enterprise IT solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure

web applications that meet the needs of our enterprise clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional code, ensuring seamless integration and a superior user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Web Application Development

  • design, develop, and maintain custom web applications for enterprise IT environments
  • gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • write clean, scalable code using JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular, Vue.js), Python, Java, or C#

Fullstack Development

  • develop frontend user interfaces and backend services for web applications
  • ensure responsive design and performance optimization across platforms and devices
  • develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services

Enterprise Integration & Scalability

  • build scalable solutions that integrate with ERP, CRM, and cloud-based platforms
  • design database schemas and optimize queries for enterprise-scale data (SQL, NoSQL like MySQL, MongoDB)
  • ensure seamless integration with corporate IT infrastructure

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • implement automated testing frameworks for reliability
  • conduct code reviews and troubleshoot issues across the stack
  • work with QA teams to resolve bugs and improve stability

Security & Compliance

  • develop with a focus on security, ensuring data protection and adherence to security policies
  • implement authentication, authorization, and encryption
  • stay up to date with industry regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA) and ensure compliance

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality web applications
  • participate in agile processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools

What you bring
to the table

Required Skills and Experience

  •  Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field – equivalent experience is also considered
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, especially for custom web applications
  • proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or C#
  • knowledge of web services and APIs (REST, GraphQL)
  • understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing
  • strong problem-solving and ability to work on complex challenges
  • excellent written and verbal communication as well as team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • experience with enterprise IT solutions and system integration (ERP, CRM)
  • knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • experience with web security practices (OAuth, SSO, JWT)
  • familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
